Brigadoon Farm is seeking a tough, motivated and hardworking intern to join our team. All horses on site have been sired by stallions who have produced over a million dollars in reining, cutting, or working cow horse. There are no boarders nor outside training horses. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced training barn while building skills both on the ground and in the saddle. Must be 19 or older. Includes on-site housing, salary based on experience, and an opportunity to become a permanent part of the team. The current staff consists of young adults who have been here for several years, are fun to work with, and teach in a mentoring rather than an autocratic fashion. Housing is private and includes a shower, bathroom, living area, dining area and kitchen. Daily responsibilities include exercising the horses both mounted and unmounted, helping with their feeding, turnout and basic barn/grounds maintenance. For the right person there will be opportunities to show horses. This internship is designed for students serious about learning to develop and implement activities focused on increasing their own horsemanship skills and who want to immerse themselves in a professional training atmosphere. Some of the amenities at the farm include a covered arena, a covered round pen, a reining track, access to cattle and 1000's of acres of riding and more.

To apply, please send your resume, contact information on at least 3 horse related references, and a short video of any horse handing experience to martha@brigadoonfarm.com.If you already have these items posted on yard and groom you do not have to complete this step.
