Folklore Farm seeks a driven rider committed to building a future in the equine industry and developing a deep understanding of biomechanics, functional riding and training. Our ideal candidate is an accomplished rider or a developing rider with exceptional potential, work ethic, and feel. Established riders should school approximately 3rd Level, understand rider biomechanics, and be comfortable over fences, developing green horses, and doing groundwork. We will also consider less-developed riders with a strong foundation, natural feel, and genuine hunger to learn. We value horsemanship: listening to the horse, making appropriate adjustments, and making the work clearer and more comfortable rather than simply riding harder. We teach, correct, and discuss constantly. Depending on ability and experience, responsibilities include riding a variety of horses, developing green horses, rehabbing horses that have been ridden incorrectly, jumping, expanding groundwork skills, studying functional movement, and showing. Opportunities and responsibility are earned through reliability, effort, ability, dedication, and professionalism. We value horsemanship over ego, education over shortcuts, honesty over résumé building, and a willingness to keep learning. Skill develops through years of consistent work, education, and experience, and we will invest in the right person. Our standards are firm - A working interview is part of the hiring process because skill, personality and character matter. Folklore Farm offers an enjoyable, professional barn culture. Applicants must work well with others, communicate professionally, be self-motivated, and accept direction. Drama, gossip, and disruptive behavior have no place here. Refrences will be checked and experience must be represented honestly. No pets We have ZERO tolerance for drug or alcohol use. If becoming an excellent rider and horseperson is something you are serious about pursuing we would like to hear from you.

🙂
I've worked at this farm for a while now and am shocked at how much I've already learned. If you are looking for a place with an opportunity to expand your experience working with horses on a daily basis, both in hand as well as riding, then you'll really enjoy a position here! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and between lessoning with her and participating in the monthly clinics, this is an amazing opportunity for a serious equestrian. I am so grateful to have found Folklore Farm!
