We're looking for a dependable stablehand to join our laid-back veterinarian owned training barn. We pride ourselves on providing excellent individualized care for both our horses and our humans.
Daily responsibilities include:
Feeding hay and grain Blanketing horses Grooming, mane and tail care Sweeping and general barn tidying Turning horses in and out Picking stalls Holding horses for procedures (vet, chiro, farrier) Administering oral and eye medications Assisting with other basic veterinary care

We're looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and gets along with horses and people. Interest or experience with animal behavior science is a plus! Horse experience is required, but positive attitude and demonstrated work ethic will be probably more important!

Equestrian Employer Details
Misty Step Stables is a hunter /Jumper barn combined with a behavior and sports medicine veterinarian. We train horses in hunter/jumpers and basic dressage flatwork as a foundation using the principles of learning and behavior. For veterinary work we do vaccines and general wellness on the horses at the farm, sports medicine appointments with an eye for the whole horse, as well as behavior evaluation and training for specific issues (needle shyness, oral/eye medications, trailer loading, under saddle issues etc).
