Haven’s Hope Ranch & Stables in Greenwood, Indiana is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic part-time horseback riding instructor to assist with our growing lesson program.

Our barn offers English and Western riding lessons for beginner through intermediate riders, along with camps, birthday parties, and community programs. We focus on creating a positive, safe environment where riders of all ages can develop confidence, horsemanship skills, and a love for horses.

The ideal candidate enjoys teaching beginner riders, working with children, and helping students build strong foundational riding and horse care skills.

Responsibilities include teaching lessons, promoting safe horse handling practices, assisting with camps and barn activities, and helping support the growth of the lesson program.

This is a part-time position to start, with the opportunity to grow into additional responsibilities as our programs expand. This position may be ideal for a working student or young professional looking to grow in the equestrian industry.

Applicants should have previous riding experience and some teaching experience preferred. A positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills are essential.

Dependability and reliability are key requirements for this position. We are looking for someone who takes their responsibilities seriously, communicates well, and shows up consistently for scheduled lessons and barn activities.

The ideal candidate should enjoy working with riders of all ages, especially children and beginner riders, and be able to create a positive and supportive learning environment. Patience, strong communication skills, and a calm, safety-focused approach around horses are essential.

Applicants should demonstrate good horsemanship, including safe horse handling, basic horse care knowledge, and the ability to guide students in proper riding and barn safety practices. Previous experience teaching riding lessons is preferred, but candidates with strong riding backgrounds and a desire to teach may also be considered.

This position requires someone who is positive, energetic, and enjoys being part of a team while helping our lesson program grow. As our programs expand, there may be opportunities to assist with camps, birthday parties, and other barn activities.

Because reliability is so important in a lesson program, professional references are required and will be checked prior to hiring.
