We are looking for a veterinary technician or experienced horse person in the New York area to work with Dr. Laura Stokes-Greene and Dr. Anna Eureyecko from Steele and Associates Equine Practice during the summer and travel with to Wellington, Florida for the winter show season. We enjoy teaching, so if you are interested in learning more about lameness and the medical side of working with horses, then this is a great opportunity. This is a great fit for someone looking to add new skill sets, utilitze AI in veterinary medicine, and learn the business side of practice.

Most important traits are horse sense, physical fitness (ability to lift heavy things and flex the horses), a great work ethic, and desire to give clients incredible service.
Responsibilities:
- Flexing joints of horses for lameness exams
- Jogging and lunging horses for exams
- Restraining horses for procedures
- Prepping sterile field and assisting in joint injections/PRP injections
- Carrying heavy equipment and setting up X-ray machine and taking X-ray
- Working one-on-one with veterinarian to prepare for procedures (scrubbing for joint injections, setting up ultrasound machine)
- Stocking the truck: maintaining inventory of drugs and supplies/tracking medication expiration dates, filling out the monthly controlled substances reports.
