Private, family-run warmblood breeding barn in San Diego, California is looking for experienced individual with established horsemanship skills. Job responsibilities include: turning out mares and foals, working with yearlings & young horses in round pen/free jumping, halter training, picking up feet, grooming, farrier, vet assist, etc. Feeding, watering, adjusting nutrition requirements. Experience with foals/young horses/broodmares/stallions is a requirement. Applicants will have had real hands on experience working with warmbloods. Housing can be provided. Serene environment. Kindness, patience, and excellent character around horses is essential. Please provide resume/CV, past experience, and recommendations.
Requirements
You would be part of a team, including show grooms, farm staff. Daily schedule starts at 7am, 8 hour days. Team work is essential. You may be asked to help with the other horses, so flexibility and good work ethic is essential.
