I completed two horse care classes offered by my high school, as well as competed in hippology with my 4h group. we placed first in the state of Connecticut, and ninth national.

I have worked at competitions barn, private backyard barns, county fairs running the petting zoo, volunteered at a horse rescue, as well as a barista, and babysitter.

I began riding at 6 years old. since then I have trained and occasionally competed in western pleasure, hunter jumper, and dressage. I have been responsible for the care of horses and other livestock.

I was the vice president of my local 4H club. This is a community based club that teaches the next generation about different aspects of livestock care and agriculture. My responsibilities included making lesson plans and teaching them to the kids. We had 10-18 year old students. We taught everything from general horse management to nutrition, anatomy, basic medical care, training methods, and so on.

I have ridden everything from lesson ponies to ex race horses, to wild mustangs. I have been on all types of horses. I have also focused on groundwork and positive reinforcement.

I competed extensively from the ages of 9-13, and then a little bit in high school. However I find much more enjoyment care for horses and going out on trail rides, rather than in the competition world.
