Equine Work Experience
Temporary live-in competition groom at Showcase 81 in Ocala, caring for 6–8 horses, including six prize-winning Grand Prix jumpers and two retired horses. Daily responsibilities included feeding/watering, turnout, mucking and bedding stalls, full grooming and hoof care, tacking/untacking, tack and equipment care, hand-walking, lunging, medications and supplements, basic wound care, massage-therapy jackets, and monitoring condition and behavior. Also volunteered in hands-on equine care at South West Florida Horse Rescue.
Specialities
Confident handling and caring for valuable European Warmblood sport horses, including Holsteiner and Brandenburg jumpers. Strong in full grooming, clipping, bathing, braiding, hoof picking/inspection, tacking, wraps/bandaging, meticulous turnout and show preparation, and recognizing changes in condition or behavior.
