Bio
I am currently a Dressage student with 8 years of jumping experience. I own a Haflinger mare. I spent 18 years at Snyder's of Hanover/Campbell's Soup Company holding a variety of CPG roles. I am currently a part-time baker.Duties of Current Occupation
Cleaning stalls, grooming, feeding, providing lessons, basic training of horses, administration and communications roles. Management of 30 employees in a corporate setting. Currently working as a part-time baker.
Equine Work Experience
As a child I began trail riding and jumping lessons. For 8 years, I worked on the farm cleaning stalls and caring for horses to pay for lessons. I took a 20 year break to work in the corporate world and have returned to the horse world in 2023, purchasing a Haflinger mare and starting Dressage lessons. My mare is used for trail rides. I am a substitute trail leader at the National Riding Stable in Gettysburg, PA.
Specialities
Most recently, I am assisting with basic training of a Fell pony during my weekly Dressage lessons. We are learning together.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden trail horses, OTTB jumpers, and am currently mainly riding a Fell pony in my weekly Dressage lessons. We do groundwork with poles, cones, and cavalettis.
Competition Details
I have competed in Intro level Dressage competitions and am currently training for a Pas De Deux Dressage test for my lesson barn's local fall show.
