I am a recent graduate from Houghton University (Houghton, NY) with a BS in Equine Management. I have 11 years of equine experience including riding, general care, and what will be a year in assistant barn managing at the end of August.Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science in Equine Management with a minor in Equine-Assisted Therapies and Business Administration
CHA Riding Instructor Level 1 Western and English (with jumping) CHA EFM Level 2 Certification
Duties of Current Occupation
General care, basic medical care, staff training for horse camp, assigning specific horses to riders based on experience, inventory tracking and retrieving, basic fence maintenance, riding instruction, schooling horses.
Equine Work Experience
I have around 11 years of experience riding, 10 years of experience in general care, 8 years of experience instructing, and around 1 year of experience (at the end of August 2026) assistant barn managing. I have taken out trail rides, performed basic medical care, led days at horse camp, making sure that 6 different lesson periods happened, tack was safety checked, and chores happened on time and well.
