I took a holistic horsemanship course several years ago to learn more about effortless relationships with our horses and how we can create unique programs that support their overall wellbeing both physical, mental, and emotional.

My approach to horse care goes beyond completing daily tasks. I’m deeply attentive to each horse’s physical and emotional well-being, paying close attention to how they move, how they interact with the herd, how they respond to their work, and how they feel in their bodies and their tack. I believe that the highest standard of care comes from this kind of thoughtful observation, from consistency and addressing small changes before they become bigger concerns. My background includes performance horses, polo horses, feral horses, daily barn management, and I’m committed to maintaining a calm, safe, organized environment where every horse can thrive. I take pride in being dependable, working hard, and always putting the horse’s welfare first.

Some foals, some stallions. I used to be a Spanish teacher, so I suppose that was like team leading. Comfortable speaking Spanish in a work setting. Turnout. I’m best when I’m interpreting horses for people and pointing out things many people miss that may be small, but add them up and they create behaviors that become more and more demonstrative. I like to catch the first signs of discomfort and adjust approach.

All different types, kinds, breeds, sizes, backgrounds, experience levels, personalities, remedial horses, hard cases, western pleasure, trails, hunters, jumpers (as a kid), dressage, western dressage (only because I have a lumbar fusion), exposure to cross country, OTTBs, Auction horses, Rescues, Performance, Polo horses, Mustangs, ponies, warmbloods…
