Mature business professional. Owned rescue horses for 18 years. Mechanically inclined. Able to work hard, on my feet, for very long periods and assist with volunteer coordination. Live 20 minutes out. Open schedule & weather mot an issue.Duties of Current Occupation
No professional responsibilities with horses. My professional skills are managing people, logistics, managing financial performance, repairing machinery, and achieving goals with a sense of urgency while maintaining a positive attitude.
Equine Work Experience
Owned, and enjoyed, 3 rescue horses for 18 years. Performed daily care and first aid from feeding to mucking to walking several nights, all night, when one of the horses would colic. I taught all my kids a love for horses. One rescue, a 4 year old, was turned out from rodeo roughstock. It took me months to make him ridable. Through patience and consistency, he turned out to be an amazing animal and a great friend. I even rode with my son on him (in a snuggie) when my son was 7 weeks old. The horse got to the point I could cover him up with a blue tarp while he stood still in the center of the arena.
