Bio
Hi there, I am currently studying Equine Management and Training through ACC though I have been involved with horses for the last 15 years. I am seeking work as I step into the equine industry that prioritizes horse wellbeing
Qualifications

Currently enrolled in Arapahoe Community College's equine management program, earned lots of certifications through those courses. Also am certified in Equine First Aid for the next 2 years. These are the formal experiences in addition to the experiences of being in the saddle and working in different roles/capacities at various points.

Duties of Current Occupation

Kennel tech, but dealt with ruminates and equines since 2020 All duties including but not limited to: Administrative tasks, customer service, mucking, feeding, maintenance, customer relations, appointment scheduling, etc

Equine Work Experience

15 years of equine riding experience, more recent focus on training and management. Worked with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. I ride western, but have had a bit of English exposure, currently learning to drive a mini donkey under cart from the ground up. The welfare of the horse is the main priority for me because when that is met, the welfare of riders and the community falls into place naturally. I am learning to acknowledge all the things I know with more confidence while also continually learning new things constantly and that is one of the things I love most about horses.

Specialities

daily care, running operations after proper training and expectations are communicated, customer connection, record keeping, worked with ruminates and equines, colt starting, aptitude to drive or learn to drive different machinery, experience around all different horse personalities and breeds, precision-mounted drill team, flat work, resource management.

Type of Ride Work

Precision-mounted drill team- Westernaires Some flatwork, English lessons Ranch horses/all-around horses Have ridden the well seasoned, quirky and green/just started horses as well

Competition Details

Nope, mostly just played supportive roles or was used as an extra set of hands, but would be excited to learn more.
