I have not had courses or qualifications in such a professional setting. I am capable and excited to continue my education and learn hands on as much as possible. I believe I am well qualified in every aspect of this job, less any extensive breeding and or veterinarian expertise: which I would love to learn.

Wrangler: feeding, watering, grooming, tacking, mucking stalls, turning out, and guiding trail rides. Years of property maintenance: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, building upkeep, and equipment operating, landscaping.

My love for horses started young, riding bareback and Western on trails with friends. Over the years I built on that foundation with some English camp experience, learning a different style and approach to riding. This past summer, I put that experience to work as a wrangler at Piping Rock Equestrian Center, a working facility with over 100 horses, some of which were boarders. My responsibilities included feeding, watering, grooming, tacking, mucking stalls, turning out, and guiding trail rides — giving me a well-rounded, hands-on understanding of daily horse care in a busy barn environment. While I don't yet have direct experience with breeding or farrier work, I'm eager to learn both, along with any other area of equine care this role might call for. I see every day around horses as a chance to grow my knowledge and skillset, and I'm committed to becoming as well-rounded and capable as possible in this field.

Hands-on experience with 100+ horses, including daily care and handling. Some English camp experience alongside a Western riding background. Comfortable with equipment operating. No foal or breeding experience to date, but highly eager to learn and grow in that area. Great with carpentry, mechanical work, maintenance, landscaping, fence work and high attention to detail. Have worked independently in many jobs and don't need to be supervised.

I have mostly ridden western and bareback, however have done some jumping when I was younger. I lunge horses before rides and do some arena work. I am supper eager to Gain experience and learn all types of riding. Specifically jumping has interested me, and whenever the opportunity on a trail, I try jumping logs or creeks! I was a trail guide, going through varying terrain and crossing creeks and steep hills, while responsible for many other guests, most of which were first-timers.

I don't have any experience with competitions aside from watching and a few comps at the local barn I have worked at. This is the least of my experience, but I am confident any skills needed for this job in this area will not be too far from reach.
