Bio
I have been riding horses for over 30 years, although typically just a few times a year. My love for horses goes far beyond riding. I have volunteered at horse ranches, where I’ve mucked stalls, groomed horses, and helped with their care.Qualifications
I have volunteered at stables that provide programs for children with special needs, gaining experience supporting both horses and participants with patience and compassion. I have also volunteered with Bridle Up Hope San Jose, which supports women and children through equine experiences. I teach art classes at the ranch, bringing creativity and a nurturing presence to my work with others.
Duties of Current Occupation
Volunteered at horse ranches, mucking stalls and grooming horses. Also served as a side walker during equine therapy sessions, supporting both horses and participants with patience, care, and presence.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding horses for over 30 years, although my riding experience has been occasional, typically just a few times a year. My love for horses goes far beyond riding—I feel a deep connection with them and have always felt that I can intuitively understand their behavior and energy.
I have volunteered at horse ranches, where I’ve mucked stalls, groomed horses, and helped with their care. I also deeply believe in the healing power of horses and have hosted events incorporating energy healing, sound healing, art, and meditation, creating opportunities for humans and horses to co-regulate and connect.
I approach horses with patience, respect, and curiosity, and I value building a trusting relationship with each horse I work with.
Specialities
My specialties are less traditional and centered around energy work, mindfulness, and creating heart-centered connections with horses. I believe horses are incredibly intuitive and have a powerful ability to support healing and emotional regulation. I enjoy creating calm, safe spaces where both horse and human can relax, connect, and co-regulate through presence, meditation, sound, and energy work.
Type of Ride Work
I am comfortable riding at the walk, trot, canter, and I find galloping especially exhilarating—it’s an incredible feeling of freedom and connection with the horse. While my experience has not included jumping, it is something I have always wanted to learn. I’m excited by the opportunity to continue developing my riding skills while building trust and partnership with the horse.
