Key Responsibilities: Conduct pony riding lessons for children (beginners to intermediate levels) Deliver training aligned with Galop syllabus and prepare riders for progression exams Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed for riders, ponies, and facility use Teach foundational riding skills including balance, posture, and control Introduce basic horse care: grooming, tacking, and stable etiquette Support rider confidence, discipline, and progression tracking Assist in maintaining pony welfare, fitness, and suitability for lessons Communicate progress updates to parents and academy management
Requirements
Recognised equestrian coaching qualification (French qualification) Strong experience working with children and ponies, with a confident and safety-focused approach. As the role involves regular riding and schooling of small ponies, the ideal candidate should be a lightweight rider, preferably around 50–55 kg maximum. A good background in dressage till small tour and flatwork is essential, together with the ability to school ponies correctly and support their long-term development. We are looking for someone professional, positive, reliable and genuinely passionate about teaching children and developing young riders.
