Equine Sports Medicine in Pilot Point, TX is hiring a full-time Equine Technician to work with performance horses alongside experienced veterinarians.
Position Overview
- Compensation: $15–$20/hour (based on experience) + overtime, annual raises, and performance bonuses.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) with rotating weekends and required flexibility.
- Location: In-person in Pilot Point, North Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Handle and restrain horses safely for exams, injections, and procedures.
- Vet Assistance: Assist with lameness exams, pre-purchase evaluations, radiographs, and advanced diagnostics.
- Evaluations: Jog and lunge horses for performance and soundness evaluations.
- Operations: Maintain medical records, manage client communication, and follow strict biosecurity protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Horsemanship: Strong horse handling skills and comfort working with performance horses.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors on your feet and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Prerequisites: Valid driver's license, background check, and drug screening.
- Prior experience in equine vet medicine, radiography, HVMS, or Global Vet Link.
