Hi!! DESPERATELY seeking... Live-In Groom / Groundskeeper –

We are seeking an experienced, reliable live-in groom/groundskeeper for a private horse property in Aiken, SC. Hands on position for someone who is knowledgeable and confident around horses and is also willing to help with the general upkeep of the property. 2 horses and 2 mini donkeys.

We are hoping to find the right person to make a long-term commitment to this position.

Long term horse experience is essential.

Responsibilities and qualifications include:

Daily feeding, mucking stalls and general barn care coordinating feed delivery, vet appointments. Changing blankets as needed Handling horses safely and confidently Recognizing signs of colic, injury, illness or other changes requiring attention Ability to administer IV medications/injections and other routine treatments Experience loading, and possibly hauling horse trailer. Keeping the barn, turnout areas and horse facilities clean and well maintained Willingness to handle occasional property maintenance, such as repairing a fence line or mowing three small fields Riding ability is a plus, but not required Dependable, observant and comfortable working independently

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both horses and maintaining a beautiful property and does not mind pitching in wherever needed.

Compensation: Competitive and dependent upon experience; to be discussed. Will compensate fairly!
