We are looking to hire someone with advanced horsemanship skills who is capable of working independently and in coordination with staff to manage all aspects of herd care in the equine breeding department.

➡This includes adjusting feed rations for optimal health and growth. ➡handling and educating foals from birth until they start under saddle. ➡Assisting the vet with equine reproduction including ultrasounds and live cover.

➡️Providing post foaling care to both mare and foal. (No night shifts) Dipping navels, taking temperatures, giving Oxytocin shots, etc.,

➡️Administering medications (oral, IM, IV, and topical) including applying wraps and keeping medical records up to date.

➡️Training new born foals- halter break, tie, pick up feet, lead, bath, etc. ➡️Handling foals and broodmares during weaning. ➡️Holding young stock for farrier and keeping farrier log up to date.

🕗8 hr per day /6 days per week. Extended hours only in the case of an emergency. 💲Pay is negotiable estimated $1000/week via direct deposit. Quality on site housing is included.
