Now hiring a reliable, experienced and horse crazy individual to help oversee the daily care and operation of our Dressage show barn.

Daily and emergency horse care: feed, turn in/out, blanketing, etc. Care of brood mare and foals. Stall and ring care. Monitoring horses for health, injuries, and changes in behavior. Administering medications and supplements, and being up to date on USEF medication rules (or willing to learn). Assist with general barn and property maintenance, while keeping a clean, safe, organized environment. Work as a team player while leading by example, and can accept direction and instruction from barn manager.

We are looking for someone who: Has at least 2 years hands on experience in a show barn setting..

Can work independently, take initiative, while providing leadership to staff.
Strong communication skills for clients, manager, trainers, and staff.

Is comfortable working outside in all weather, can lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, is not afraid of heights (hay loft) and understands that while this job is very reasonable hours, is is not exactly 9-5.

Full time with days off during the week. Weekends required. Gorgeous large apartment included. One stall included, and other perks.

Civilized dressage hours, kind respectful clients, well trained horses, and an amazing sense of community and support not always found in a show barn setting.
