Full-time groom/stable hand needed for private family horse farm. 40 hrs/wk for full-time. One weekend day availability is mandatory. We are looking for someone who enjoys working within a team atmosphere, is motivated, can take direction, and has a strong work ethic. Horse experience is needed. We have show horses and many retirees. We show in the Northeast during the summer months and head to Ocala, Florida in the winter. There would be a possibility of travel to Florida in the winter months, for the right candidate.
Full time employees receive paid holidays, vacation, medical, dental, vision and 401k. Very competitive pay and direct deposit is available.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mucking stalls
- Cleaning water buckets
- Sweeping aisles
- Grooming/Bathing
- Tacking up/untacking
- Blanketing
- Rotation of turnouts
- Feeding AM/PM
Misc. other duties such as:
- Tack cleaning
- Horse laundry
- Picking pastures
- Holding horses for Vet & Farrier
- Helping with hay wagons
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the facility

Requirements
Must have reliable transportation and license! No smoking on the property Knowledge of Hunter, Show Jumping, Reined Cow Horse and Roping a huge plus!!
Persons must be qualified to work legally in the US.
