Primary Responsibilities: • Doctoring horses and assisting with ongoing care • Swapping, tacking, and untacking horses before and after lessons • Cleaning and maintaining stalls, tack, grooming areas, and barn facilities • Monitoring horse behavior and spotting early signs of discomfort or injury • Assisting the trainer with lessons, groundwork, and day-to-day horse management • Ensuring horses are tacked properly and comfortably for each rider and activity • Evaluating fit and function of tack, including English and Western saddles, bridles, and bits—and adjusting or replacing as needed • Keeping the barn running efficiently and supporting a high-volume schedule
Who We’re Looking For: • Someone experienced with both English and Western tack • Able to determine proper tack fit and make necessary adjustments • A responsible, hard-working team player • Fast-moving, focused, and calm under pressure • Detail-oriented with a natural eye for horses and horsemanship • Committed to a clean, safe, and organized barn • Ready to be on their feet and active all day
